
Christmas may be the season of sparkle, but our research showed that parents were finding it tougher than ever to keep the wonder going. With one in four children worried about having no chimney at all, and 33% convinced that alarms and security systems could stop Santa in his tracks, we helped British Gas step in with extra festive support through a Same Day Santa Service…
…Inspired by the way British Gas’ engineers already criss-cross the country to help families when they need it most, our Santas joined those called out on their festive rounds, hitching a ride in British Gas vans to pop up on doorsteps and deliver magical surprise visits. It was British Gas’ way of spreading a little extra joy, whilst showing how their engineers remained on standby to keep homes warm, safe and working throughout the holidays.

Parents could simply drop a line to the British Gas team, and a selection of families would be visited by the Santa Squad, delivering that all-important reassurance and festive cheer. Oh, and a Santa Gift Box and Santa Kit to help parents recreate magical moments indoors…


The Same Day Santa Service proved a great way of showcasing the British Gas Same Day Service, where engineers are dispatched to fix heating and hot water breakdowns for customers who call before 11am (particularly important at Christmas, when 24% of families experience heating failures). The initiative was covered in everything from The Mirror to Verge – and generated some brilliant comments on socials.
