Graphic Designer
We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer who will conceptualise and create visually compelling designs for various print and digital materials, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics, websites, and more.
You'll develop innovative and eye-catching visuals that align with the brand identity and messaging guidelines. Continuously staying updated on design trends, tools, and techniques to bring fresh and creative ideas and skills you enjoy to Smarts projects.
Location: Belfast (hybrid)
Contract: 12 months (maternity leave cover)
What You'll Be Doing
Creative, Design & Innovation
- Contribute to new business opportunities through brainstorming and visualising ideas.
- Professionally and constructively address client concerns and feedback.
- Maintain brand guidelines and standards to ensure consistency in all design projects.
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to align designs with the brand's visual identity.
- Prepare print-ready and web-optimised designs adhering to technical specifications.
- Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks to ensure design accuracy and excellence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues as they arise.
- Organise and maintain a well-structured file system for design assets to facilitate retrieval and version control.
- Invest in continuous learning and skill improvement to stay current with industry best practices and emerging design trends.
Communication
- Engage with clients and project leads to understand their design requirements and objectives.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine designs.
- Maintain clear and open communication channels to ensure seamless project workflows.
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to evolving project requirements.
Time & Project Management
- Adhere to project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design work.
- Collaborate with team members to estimate project timelines and provide regular updates on progress.
- Responsibility for accurately capturing time spent on projects on a daily basis.
What We're Looking For
- You'll be a Graphic Designer with professional experience.
- Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software, ensuring you stay updated with new features and enhancements.
- A can-do attitude, curiosity, and strong commitment.
- The ability to identify and address design challenges with innovative solutions.
- A willingness to learn new tools and techniques to enhance design capabilities.
- Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to comprehend project requirements and objectives.
- Can manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
